Yesler Terrace Cultural and Community Stewardship Project — Seattle, WA Led community conversations for the Seattle Housing Authority to honor the history and character of a historic affordable housing community, integrating art and gathering spaces into the redevelopment design process.
Main Street Reconstruction Public Art Enhancement — Duvall, WA Guided a community visioning process around the question "What makes it Duvall?" — surfacing themes from the river, nature, and local history to shape public art enhancements along the reconstructed Main Street.
Burien Town Center Visioning — Burien, WA Led a hands-on community visioning and conceptual design process for the second phase of a town center development, producing a set of core principles that shaped the public realm and guided subsequent development. The resulting framework is now built.
Burien Pedestrian and Bicycle Trails — Burien, WA Facilitated community engagement to define needs and priorities for a citywide non-motorized trails plan. Recipient of the 2005 Washington Planning Association award.
Highlands Council Strategic Plan — Issaquah, WA Assisted a multi-stakeholder group of community leaders and developers in building a strategic plan for a newly formed community council focused on involvement, sustainability, and livability.
Ravenna Creek Daylighting Project — Seattle, WA Facilitated a community process with Seattle Parks toward daylighting Ravenna Creek.
Citywide Sustainability Forums — Chattanooga, TN Coordinated citywide forums and civic initiatives resulting in a strengthened collective commitment to a sustainable future.
Rural Sustainable Village Planning — Guanghan, China Convened an interdisciplinary international planning process for a model rural sustainable village, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy and APEC.
New Town Plan — Pattonsburg, MO Led goal-setting sessions with residents to identify environmental and cultural priorities for a new town plan in the wake of repeated flooding. In partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy and the American Institute of Architects.
Affordable Housing Consensus — Orcas Island, WA Facilitated community consensus-building for a new affordable housing development.
Creative City Symposium — Ottawa, Canada Conducted a day-long symposium for city staff and community leaders on combining placemaking, community building, and art.
